Well, you have a point . As for the present day .
Christians are persecuted by Muslims in Egypt, Iraq, etc.
Jews are persecuted by Muslims,... everywhere .
Hindus... see Mumbai etc.
Buddhists ... in Thailand.
But I know Muslims who are peaceful, kind, and much more "spiritual" than I am .
And I should add, that those kind of Muslims are being persecuted by the same Muslims who are causing all the trouble for the other religions . For instance, Sufis, are not "cool" with the fundamentalist brand of Islam .

the Koran forbids Sects in Islam.

Mohamet FORBID Sects in Islam. If you bothered to read the Koran, you'd know that...

I suggest you stop taking peoples word for things you haven't studied..and start finding the truth out for yourself.

If you let people lead you, they will.

Well,... there ARE sects in Islam, they may not call themselves a "sect"; and most of those sects who "are not sects", have been fighting each other since the death of the "Prophet" .
Oh, and I have read the Koran . Can't say it was a fun read. For a big chunk of the world, it is their "holy booK", at least the Bible is a lot more entertaining...
